What is RecycledRunners.com all about? In a nutshell we are about being a resource for other like minded runners in the US and around the world. We are here to help the everyday runner find an alternative solution and home for his or hers growing number of old running shoes beyond the typical closet or trashcan.
Runners like many other outdoor sport enthusiasts are concerned about the growing amount of pollution this world is facing. We have resorted to running errands while we actually go out on runs to avoid using our cars. We have resorted to checking air quality reports online before our big training days to ensure we are not damaging our lungs while we try to stay healthy. We pride ourselves that out of so many sports or hobbies, we require the least amount of equipment and arguably produce the least amount of waste. However, man can we go through a huge amount of shoes!
So what is to become of these shoes? These $80, $90, $100+ dollar pair of running shoes we are fortunate enough to afford and use in our quest of staying fit and setting new PRs? That is where we come in, to help you find that home. Whether it be the less fortunate in your community, a group of runners across the ocean or even in the material of the running track in your local community, we want you to find a home for those running shoes.
